Links being removed by HTML editor

Hi,

I have a problem with links being removed by the editor. When I add a link and then check the link via the link function window, the link field is empty. When I check the code, the link looks like this:

<a>Link here</a>

href has disappeared!

Do you know what the problem might be?

Thanks in advance.

I think I've solved the problem. It was because the html on the page was corrupt - broken tags, sloppy tables etc. When I re-wrote the page into a new file, with cleaner code, the links worked fine.

Thanks.
