Clear Cart but Print Receipt

Clear Cart but Print Receipt

I have implemented a procedure to clear my cart at the bottom of my checkout_success page using the eCart object ClearCart function. However, I also have a link on this page to print a more "printer-friendly" receipt which is basically a copy of the page in a new window without the website heading/footer/menus/etc. but with some Company information included. This receipt page relies on the content of the cart, but that has now been cleared.

Any suggestions as to how I can clear the cart, but still be able to print a receipt? (I am assuming that not everyone will want to print a receipt, since I am generating an email receipt also, so I don't want to clear the cart from the receipt page.)

Thank you in advance,

Catherine

once the cart is cleared, it is deleted from the servers memory. It is not possible to allow the user to print data that has been deleted.

Clear cart but print receipt

I understand that the server variables are cleared. I was wondering if you had any suggestions for placing the cart clearing function in a different place or using sometype of conditional statement to delay clearing.
