Removing default title & descriptions

I have a number of galleries that have been created with a default title and description of x.jpg where x is the number of the file. If I don't want anything there, is there a easy way to remove this info? Or reinstall the gallery and not have it entered?

Part of the problem is that once you get past the first few rows of images, the edit screen is no longer visible, so you have to scroll down to select the image, remove both fields, click Save and then scroll back down to select the next image. If there are hundreds of images, this is rather tedious.

My host is using phpMyAdmin so if someone knows a way I can use that interface to remove the data in the title and description fields, that would be good too.

Thanks.

you could use PHPMyAdmin to access the database directly and run the following sql statement:

UPDATE pg1_gallery_images SET title='', description=''

be aware that this sql will clear the title and description of every image in every gallery, dont use this if you have some titles and descriptions you want to save.
