i think i am missing something.

i can get the editor in place, thats not a problem. however i do have some questions.

1. how do i modifiy a .txt file (or any file for that matter) that is to be displayed else where in the site? Do i have to set up the database to do this or can i just edit the file itself?

2. how do i open the file to be edited in the editor?

I guess i'm just not getting my brain around this any help would be appreciated.

thanks, dean

ok i've been playing with this and i think i can re ask my question alittle better.

if I have files (mainly just wording) how can i open these in the editor, edit them and them save them back where they belong?

is it possable to have one editor to open different files with or should each file have its own editor?

HTMLEditor does not attach to the HTML code in the actual files.

HTMLEditor is used in content management situations, where the HTML code for a section of the page is stored in a database.
