Changing top nav spacing

I'm trying to add a custom button to the top of the site. I know how to do that, but I need more space. I need to decrease the width or the padding, but I can't seem to find the correct css. I tried the css in the menuwriter folder, plus the css in the webassist folder. Can't find it.

Thank you.

to change the width of the top level menu buttons, edit the #cssmw a selector in the webassist/themes/Premiere%20Template/css/default_styles.css file.
