No To recordset or getting attachment

No To recordset or getting attachment

I can make a form that sends the text fields to & from a static email address, and uploads a file to the server. I can also make the From field dynamic from a Session variable. But if I link the To field to a recordset of email addresses it doesn't work. No error, just no message in the Inbox. And in no scenario (static or recordset From field) will it send the attachment.

I've gone into the Form Function tab and Edit the Send Email function, selecting a dynamic To field and selecting Submitted File in the Attachment section. But recordsets seem to be a problem, as does getting the attachment to go with the email.

Another thing that seems odd to me, is that if I select the Form tag and then Edit Form from the Properties area, when I save it, there are duplicate server behaviors. So if I edit it three times using the Properties panel, there are three Upload Files and Universal Email behaviors. Also, when I edited it this way, the Form Details section is correct, but the Form Function part no longer shows the From, To, Subject, Attachments or File Upload folder information. That doesn't seem right to me but I don't know if it's the reason I can't get attachments or send to a record set. I don't think that's the reason for my problems though because if I edit the Universal Email behavior directly using the Server Behaviors panel, and then go back, my entries will be there. But the form still won't send attachments or work with recordsets.

I’ve been trying different things all day, but am at a loss as to what to try next. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

can you send a copy of your page and the webassist/email folder so i can examine the code to see what is wrong.

when you apply the wizard, server behaviors for upload and the email are added to the page.

Since it is possible to have more than one instance of the email behavior and the upload behavior, their settings will not be remembered when you re enter the wizard, resetting these will just add duplicate behaviors to the page like you are experiencing.

to modify the settings that are used by the upload or email, you will need to edit the server behaviors for those functions directly, not the wizard.

That makes sense about the wizard so I will only edit the behaviors then. Thanks for the explanation.

I've attached the file and the webassist/email folder. The php file currently has a recordset in the To field so it won't send an email, but it will upload to the server and Insert into the database (except for below). I've used the same file but with a static email and it will send and email, upload to the server and Insert into the database (except for below) but the message has no attachment.

From my other thread, when this page Inserts into the database, it will not include the data from the Type field, which is a single item selection list. The other fields insert fine.

Thank you for your help.
