Looks like I am back to the beginning...

I edited the css to my liking, I went back into "design". I clicked on the edit button on my current theme to modify one little thing, saved it and now I seem to be back to the beginning. Can you outline the best steps for customizing your css? Is it still possible to go back into your design section or should I avoid this area after customization?

Also, I still need to understand the steps for adding a gallery to a div and ensuring that it is the size that I want, for example, the siteMessage div.

The design editor should read in your css, it should not have any effect on customized settings. It should give a preview showing what the design looks like. When you opened the design editor, did the preview look like what you had expected?

what specific files did you edit the css in?

what settings where wiped out?
