This is not such a simple question.

the gallery position in the page is determined by which content area it is being added to, and where in that content area it is being added.

what specifically is the issue you having with positioning?

can you send a link showing the problem position and details on desired positioning.

gallery position

1. To start, I want to add a gallery to the storeMessage div (segalmediaproductions.com/index.php). While I have you, I want this gallery to scroll from one single image to the next. It is fine if the images keep scrolling (or scroll once through and stop is fine as well).

2. Second, I will create a new page and I want to add a gallery to contentWrapper div. Can I assume that I can create a new page, add it to the existing topNavigation utilizing a template page?

Thanks

1) In the Content Management section edit the Home Page -> Site Message content area, you can add the Slideshow - Wide gallery type.

2) Click the plus button next to Custom Pages in the content areas list, this will create a new page from the custom pages template and add it to the Support menu, you can then add your gallery to the new page.

edit home page

"1) In the Content Management section edit the Home Page -> Site Message content area, you can add the Slideshow - Wide gallery type."

Forgive me, I am in my admin section of my site and cannot find "edit the Home Page" as mentioned above. Can you elaborate?

Thanks

In the content list, select the Home Page. Then click the edit button in the Site Message content area.

I somehow deleted one editable region from homepage

Hmmm, I see my confusion, somehow I have removed or deactivated one editable region on my home page. I only see 2. I no longer see your lightening bolt/circle icon on the storeMessage div. Can you help me restore this section?

select the home page, then click the Add Content button and name the new content region "Site Message" (without the quotes)

size of image for Site Message

What is the desired dimensions for any image placed in the Site Message area? I figured 940 was correct but it seems to be stretched to 995 and is distorting my home page.

Thanks

site message banner distorted

index.php

How do I modify the script that is distorting my gallery on the site message div and why is it happening (ie what controls gallery sizes beside the size of the container and the size of the actual image)?

Thanks,

Lisa
