Menus from images?

Menus from images?

I have a website that has been designed by a graphic designer and they want drop-down menus on some of the menu items. I need to integrate the current graphics with rollover states as all ready specified but if I use a Times Roman typeface underneath for drop-downs that would please the client.

You can see the website (without the drop-down navigation, but with the graphics and rollovers) here: ~karenmri/

It is mostly completed and some of the navigation won't work to pages that do not exist.

Is there a way to get CSS Menu Writer to allow the importation of graphics into the menu item? I recognize that CSS Menu Writer does create rollover states, but these are not the type that I hope to specify for the main menu items in the website.

In the Menu Writer Edit Design interface, go to the design tab.

In the background section, you can select your image by using the file name field.

You can use separate images for the hover state.

Design tab? Edit design interface?

I see no design tab. And there is no "design interface" in the edit menu.

I opened up the CSS and it appears to style the entire menu and not allow individual entries. I am not capable of editing Javascript code. I suppose I can edit the HTML and place my graphics that way, but I don't see where to do the rollovers. And I'm not sure I have properly defined the size of the CSS holdout for the graphics.

It should be accomplished with .css updates and not .js or .html updates. I'll open a support incident so that we can call you and help resolve your issues directly.

Solved

I got what I needed with the support ticket.

I was telephoned by a representative who walked through a certain amount of the build with me and then wound up making me a sample from which I could work. The website is up and viewable here:
