Emails not reveived

Hi All

I am using PS4 and have set up some test products. I have also setup the email settings to use the email accounts i setup for the store.

I have placed a live order and all worked fine and paypal ipn worked and the paypal emails received ok.

However, no receipt email received from the store or shipping email after ticking the box on the order details page.

Basicly, no emails are being received from the store. Ive entered the mail server ip and tried again and still no luck.

Help please..

who is your host? Are you sure you have entered the correct information for the SMTP server?

make sure the From address that the store is using is not the same address as the one you are using to test the emails, the smtp server may not send the email if the from and to addresses are the same.

Our host is webfusion VPS, in settings I have left the server field blank and they did not work so then used the smtp address I use for my outlook email client. I have now left it blank again. I confirm that I am not using the same email account to send and recieve. I have set the store emails to address like, sales@ support@ etc and when testing the cart process I created a test customer login using my personal details.

are the store email addresses valid addresses for your domain.

for example, if your domain is www,mydomain.com, the store email addresses need to be valid addresses from that domain:
sales@mydomain.com


if the emails are still not coming through, you should contact the host to see if they can look into the smtp server error logs to see why the emails are not being relayed.

Yes the email addresses are all valid and working, I have also created a test php sendmail script and that works fine. nothing found on smtp logs. I not happy that I am not able to submit a support ticket for this issue and for this one showthread.php?p=77136#post77136 with out paying more money. At the moment, PS4 does not seem to work out of the box, please tell me that this can be fixed without more of my money being spent?

Hi Jason, thanks for the support. I found that this issue was fixed after the connect meeting we had and is now working after ensuring "localhost" was entered into the email settings.
