PayPal Integration for German System: PayPal Express API Modul ?

Hello,

I have a question about PayPal-Integration in ecart.

I'm going to add shop functionality to a website which should enable the owner to sell physical items and also digital downloads.

The issue is that German Paypal Accounts don't have "PayPal Website Payments Pro".
We have something which is named "PayPal Express".

I checked with the German Paypal Support about this and they say that this works with "Express API" and needs a "PayPal Express API Modul".

Is ecart supporting this module?

In my PayPal-Acoount I can request an API Signature with Username, Password and Signature. The Question is: If I select in the ecart Checkout Wizard "PayPal Website Payments Pro" and insert my signature ... will that work?

Thanks for any help on this!

Henrik

The German PayPal Support gave me these two English-Links for "PayPal Express".
In case this is of some help, here it is:

Yes eCart will set up PayPal Express Checkout.

PayPal Payments Pro is two services combined:
1) PayPal Direct Payment - This allows the customer to pay using a credit card and stay on your site throughout the entire checkout process.

2) PayPal Express Checkout - this option takes the customer to the paypal site to process the transaction.

The checkout wizard will create pages for both payment paths, if you only wish to use express checkout, delete the credit car form on the checkout page and leave only Express checkout button.

Template not recognized by ecart Checkout Wizard

Thank You!

Another issue I just encountered is that if I run the Checkout Wizard in the last step my template is not recognized. I can't choose it.

What could be the issue here?

In former steps for instance with Security Assist I had no problems with my template being used for creating pages.

Thanks!

is it a dynamic template?

the dfile name must end in dwt.php

for example:
templatename.dwt.php
