Change Option Info From Cart?

Change Option Info From Cart?

Is there a way to change option information from the cart? For my products, a user can customize text by entering it into a form field before adding it to the cart. In the cart itself, i have an edit button which passes the product id correctly to an edit page, but if there are multiple products in the cart, it doesnt show the correct text (it shows the first product in the cart's text) Is there a way to do this?

Thanks
John

in the cart object, make sure that the option column is set to be unique.

In the cart page, place your cursor where the option text is displayed, then go to insert -> WebAssist -> eCart -> Updatable Text Filed. This will add the updatable field directly in the cart display page.

Thanks but, since there could be a fair amount of text entered, it needs to be on a separate page and not on the cart. Is there a way to do this?

It _can_ be done, but it will take custom coding to accomplish, and is not supported.

you would need to pass the cart ID, add a Loop through the cart, compare the passed ID with the currant ID in the loop, then use an if statement to display the text if the current id matches the passed ID.

it shouldn't be too difficult if you have experience writing PHP code.
