SecurityAssist EmailPW Behaviour Issue

Hi,

I have two issues with the EmailPW behaviour.

I have added the Update behaviour as per the Solution and then create the EmailPW behaviour. I get the following message:

"The Server Behaviour cannot determin whether "Email Password" or "Update Database" is applied to your page. Please select Edit Server Behaviours and change one of the two behaviours to ensure each is uniquely identifiable."

What does this mean? What do I change?

When I then run the page I get this message.....

Error Type:
Microsoft JScript runtime (0x800A138F)
'length' is null or not an object
/schoolsecure_generic/WA_SecurityAssist/WA_SHA1Encryption_vb.asp, line 153

Can anyone offer some advice?

Thanks in advance

Steven

what version of Dreamweaver are you using?

What version of SecurityAssist is installed?

What version of DataAssist?

can you send a copy of the page you are trying to apply the email password behavior to in a zip archive.

Hi Jason,

Sorry on re-reading I realised I left the details off. It hasn't helped either that the machine has also just died on me. So it has been one of those days.

I therefore cannot repeat this to show you.

I instead have installed the:
Security Suite v1.19
Dreamweaver CS4
Microsoft Vista

on a new machine. This later version of the suite will hopefully solve the issues I had.

Unfortunately I am now trying to add the Authenticate User behaviour to get it all going again and I get the following message:

"The SecurityAssist Authenticate User Script does not define the FindServerBehaviors function." (Also FindBehaviors can be "applyServerBehaviors function")

Have you come across this before? What can I do?

Thanks

Steve

try deleting the Dreamweaver cache file from the users configuration folder:
common_installation_issues.pdf

Thanks!

Thanks again Jason. I will make this the first thing I try in future.

It worked.
