I am using DW CS5 on a Windows XP platform and have done what says in "simple instructions on deleting the .dat file. Same issue as opened in support May 28, 2010

Greetings. I am having the same exact issue and opened a similar ticket back in May. I updated to this new version hoping the problem has been solved, but it has not. Thanks.

In your site definition, on the servers section, make sure there is a testing server set.

if you only have a remote server setup, you can check the testing server box as well to have it used for both.
