Microsoft Jet engine

This site has been working fine for quite a while...the client swears that he wasn't updating any files...but now I'm getting the following message. I know it is a permissions problem somewhere, but everything we've done hasn't fixed it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file '(unknown)'. It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view its data.

/default.asp, line 9

This is a permissions error on the folder containing the access database.

Ray, or anyone...

We're not sure what is happening on our server, but any website that I've created using Access databases, are all having the same problem, with the exact same error message:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file '(unknown)'. It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view its data.

/recordings.asp, line 9

The page it is referring to doesn't matter. It is happening on any page that is an ASP page using Access. SQL and PHP pages aren't affected.

We've uninstalled and reinstalled ASP, and still nothing. All folders/files have been given FULL privileges just for testing, and it also has no effect.
These sites have all worked for long periods of time, and they just stopped. Log files on the server are not showing us anything to research.
Has anyone ever seen anything like this?

Thanks!

It is not a problem with your server. IUSR_machinename must not have full permissions for the access database or the folder where it resides.

Ray,

We've done everything, including making sure that the permissions are correct. No dice. All our asp/access webpages are down and showing the same errors.

Any other thoughts would be appreciated. We've uninstalled/installed ASP as well.

Thanks

Permissions Issue

On the server I use, this was not a permissions issue. WA data assist was putting [] around data fields on only certain fields. Once I put the [] brackets around all fields the error disappeared. Server administrator said it was because of reserved words. Hope this helps someone else.
