Extra Characters with German letters not working

I create a form validation Alphanumeric with ALLOW-OTHER.

These other are " üäößÜÄÖ "

$WAFV_Errors .= WAValidateAN(((isset($_POST["password1"]))?$_POST["password1"]:"") . "",true,true,true,false,"!@#$%^*()-_.:,;üäößÜÄÖ",true,13);

In my field there is a minimum of 6 letters.

Everything works fine untill I enter one of those " üäößÜÄÖ " then it seems, that they use more then 1 letters, cause if I enter 3 of them, the field validation shows no error.

what can I do here?

Yes, those characters are double byte characters, each one is considered two characters.

This is a limitation to the character set, you will not be able to restrict password length and allow those characters at the same time.
