date picker

I need a little help with the date picker. Every time I want to add a date picker to a text field, form builder automatically makes it a require field. It always happens even when the required box is unchecked. I tried to check and then unchecked the required box but I always get the same result of requiring a date entry.

You can edit the Server validations server behavior and remove the required validation.

In the server behaviors panel, double click the server validations server behavior, select the Required validation for the date field and click the minus button to remove it.

Form Builder unable to insert record

Thank you for replying so fast. Now I have another problem and it has to do with form builder. Before I added a date picker to my form, the form that data assist wizard created for me was able to add records to my database. Now that I have added required fields and date pickers, the form is unable to add records to my database. I checked my insert server behavior and it looks fine.

when you apply form builder to an existing form, the form element names will be changed.

in the insert record behavior, you will rebind each database column to the corespondent form element.

Now my form will not submit

Before I tried your solution the form would submit but not add records, now the form will not submit. As you can see below the form tag has the required information to submit my request.

form class="NewFromBlank_Default" id="Default_NewFromBlank_Default" name="Default_NewFromBlank_Default" method="post" action="quotes_Insert.php">

Does having multiple select fields affects the way the form should submit my request because my form has 4 select fields. I read some threads where I need to use the following code:

<?php echo((isset($_POST["Project_Purpose_group_Services_desired"]))?implode(", ", $_POST["Project_Purpose_group_Services_desired"]):"") ?>

Do I have to use the code above and if I do where should I put it?

<?php require_once("../Connections/builders.php"); ?>
<?php require_once("../WA_DataAssist/WA_AppBuilder_PHP.php"); ?>
<?php require_once("../WA_ValidationToolkit/WAVT_Scripts_PHP.php"); ?>
<?php require_once("../WA_ValidationToolkit/WAVT_ValidatedForm_PHP.php"); ?>
<?php require_once('../Connections/builders.php'); ?>

<?php echo((isset($_POST["Project_Purpose_group_Services_desired"]))?implode(", ", $_POST["Project_Purpose_group_Services_desired"]):"") ?>

<?php
if (isset($_POST["Default_submit"])) {
$WAFV_Redirect = "quotes_Insert.php?invalid=true";
$_SESSION['WAVT_quotesInsert_Errors'] = "";
if ($WAFV_Redirect == "") {
$WAFV_Redirect = $_SERVER["PHP_SELF"];
}
$WAFV_Errors = "";
$WAFV_Errors .= WAValidateDT((isset($_POST["dateLogged"])?$_POST["dateLogged"]:"") . "",true,"","","",false,"","","",true,1);

if ($WAFV_Errors != "") {
PostResult($WAFV_Redirect,$WAFV_Errors,"quotesInsert");
}
}
?>

the implode function only needs to be used for select lists that allow multiple selections.

please send your page in a zip archive so I can examine the entire page code in context.

Thank you

Thank you for your help. I found what was causing the problem. For what ever reason DW likes to duplicate this twice. <?php require_once('../Connections/builders.php'); ?>. I removed the duplicate and rebind my inputs as you recommended me to do. That did it. Thanks.
