I need some help...

Can I create a search-form from 2 tables?

I would like to create a musician search.

OK, a musician cann play more than two instruments, so I store the instruments in an extra table called "instrumentSkill".

I create a selectBox from all instruments (table = instruments)

So finally I got 3 tables to check, or that I use.

the musician profile table, where is storend, age, postcode, city, email, and other general things.


the instrumentSkill table, where I store all the instuments and the skills of the musician


the instruments itself.

Is this possible?

for example:

A form to search, the instruments, city and postcode.

1 selectbox created by the instruments, and two textfields that search the musican prrofile.

I dont know how to explain.

Yes, you can create a search that uses related data however, it may require some hand editing of the search code.

You would need to create a joined query on the results page to bring in the data from both tables.
