External Link off dropdown menus

I have created a website and horizontal menu using CCS Sculptor. One of my menu selections needs an external link to another website. I setup the item in the menu generator to go to the external link (www.....) and it takes the address ok. After generating my website and selecting that menu item, it go nowhere. In the browser address line, it just put a "#" after the current web address. How can I get the menu to go an external link. Thanks.

The wizard will not add links to external servers, you need to modify the menu code after the menu is created and add the external link manually.

Thanks for your help.
In the wizard, under Site Type in CSS Sculptor the Page Type for a menu item can be set to External Link. What is that for? Do you know if there will be an upgrade to set external links so each page does not have to be manually edited?

You can enter an external link in that Site Sculptor page type, it is there to add an external link into the menu created for the site.

The menu writer wizard will not allow you to enter an external link though.
