Inconsistency between SR videos and lesson files

Why do the screens in the Solution Recipe videos (Intro to SA/Running the Wizard) look different than the downloaded lesson files used to follow along? Shouldn't they look identical so one can clearly go through the tutorial step-by-step? This stuff is hard enough to figure out without something like that. Unless I'm missing something.

The files in the download center are not for the Intro to SecurityAssist solution recipe, they are for the User Level Authentication recipe.

The Intro to SecurityAssist solution recipe does not include any files for you to follow along with, the idea is for you to run the wizard to create your files as you begin the recipe.

Thanks Jason, obviously I misunderstood. So do I not start with any of the downloaded files, or am I to begin with a blank php page in an empty site? I'm confused, and as I often encounter with the WA documentation there are many gaps in the instructions and much is left to the imagination. At least for less experienced like me. (I offered to help with that documentation to tailor it more to a broader experience level, but no one took me up on it).

you should not use the downloaded files for the Intro to Security Assist recipe.

Start with a php page from your site open.

It doesn't have to be blank, nor does it have to be an empty site. In actual fact, you would probably want to have a few pages in the site to experiment with applying access rules to.

Can I work with pages in the User Registration Solution Pack to add some things to them? I'm also wondering if I can use DataAssist to embellish and administrative backend to that pack too.

sure, you can use those pages as a stepping stone and add to them.
