eCart 5 JavaScript error

eCart 5 JavaScript error

I'm using eCart 5.02, Dreamweaver CS5 and Windows 7 Pro.

When trying to ad a new recordset to the checkout.php page, I keep getting this error message "While executing applyServerBehavior in Recordset.htm, a Javascript error occurred."

I added a new recordset to a different website that is using the eCart code and did not have any problem. It seems to only be the Checkout.php page on this particular site.

I've also gone through the process of deleting the WinFileCache.dat file.

Any help will be appreciated.

sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this one, it took a little to find a work around.

I'm not sure of the cause, but to work around the problem, change:

php:
<?php

$bibbieCart
->GetContent();
?>

to:

php:
<?php

//$bibbieCart->GetContent();
?>

then change it back after the recordset is added. I will log a bug so we can look into the cause further and fix it for a future release.

Really?

I just upgraded to the latest eCart5 from 4.x. I have several questons:

1. Is there an easy way to upgrade an older Cart or is it all hand work?

2. After spending hours with the javascript error in this thread I finally happened onto the // comment kluge outlined here. Was there ever any resolution on this and if not is it really true that almost two years later this fundamental bug still exists?

1) To update a cart created with eCart 4, you will need to edit each of the server behaviors.

2) The exact cause of this issue is not known, It is not an error we are able to reproduce faithfully.
