logged on users

Is there a way with Security Assist to show users that are currently logged on?

Thanks

This is problematic to accomplish.

You would need to create a new database for tracking users as they login and logout.

The problem comes on tracking when they log out because of the different ways logout can happen

A user can logout by clicking the logout button, but they can also logout by closing the web browser or by being idle on the site and having the session die.

It is rather difficult to trigger a php script to update the database when the logout occurs because of closing the browser or the session timing out.

Thanks Jason,

Yeah I already have it set up to record the times the user logged in and the issue is indeed the log out issue.

Thats pretty much what I expected. But I thought maybe you guys that are way better at code than me knew of a way to do it with SA.

Must be a way though as such things like PHPbb and other forum software do it. Just have to figure out how. ;-)
