No Email message created

When i used ecart5 it didn't create a email message that would send to the customer. I have Universal Email but i am not sure what page to put it on or what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

If you select to use a Remote Checkout method, the payment gateway will handle sending the email. You will have the option to use Universal Email to send the receipt only if a Local Checkout method is selected.

If you used remote checkout, the checkout page will send you over to paypal.

If you used local checkout, the checkout process will remain on your server.

You can use the paypal sandbox for testing payments, how this is done depends on the checkout type.
