Name of Table is wrong :-(

Hi there,

I use the newest version of DA.

My table is called USER. When I use DA, the table ist namen "'USERS'" and tha causes an ERROR.

$WA_table = "'USER'";

I always have to change by hand :-(

Cheers
Denis

I have logged a bug for this.

Basically the issue is that "user is a reserved word by the ODBC drivers used for connecting to an Access database. our code is trying to hard to prevent errors when a reserved word is used.

it is forcing the "`" marks around the table name, but those tick marks are hard coded into the query:
$WA_Sql = "INSERT INTO `" . $WA_table . "`

it should do one or the other, but not both. thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Hi Jason,

when I changed to "MEMBER" everything is fine.

Thanks
Denis

It will also work as expected if you name the table "users".

ther is a list of reserved words that it will compare against. Where DataAssist 2 supports ASP and ColdFusion as well as php, the list included MSSQL, ODBC, Access and MySQL reserved words. 'user' is on the ODBC list. 'users' is not on any list.
