Gallery thumbnail to Lightbox

Gallery thumbnail to Lightbox

I have a site where all the galleries are listed on a page as thumbnails showing the first image of each gallery and the title.

I am wondering if there is a way to get the Lightbox effect to be triggered by clicking the thumbnail instead of the way I have it now where it goes to that related Gallery. The client wants to bypass the large image and thumbnails altogether and go right into the lightbox.

Any thoughts on this from anyone would be appreciated!

Here is the page in question so far:

Roland,

One thing you could do is just embed the ribbons with the code generated in a vertical fashion right on the top level page instead of using the thumbnail page.

In other words you could have:

SUBTITLE IMAGES

Pic Ribbon here with lightbox

MORE IMAGES SUBTITLE

Then the second ribbon here with lightbox

And then so on and so on. I once set up my portfolio that way and it came out really good. If I still had it, I would show you but I have switched my design around since while building my new site.

Best regards,

Brian

I thought of that and almost implemented it that way but the client really wanted just one thumbnail and then the lightbox.

I got it late last night though!

Thanks for the idea, though!

What was the solution?

this is not supported by poser gallery, you would need to hand code your own light box.
