Problem with Paypal Checkout

I am getting an error message when trying to use Paypal express as my gateway:


Error message: We're sorry
Your PayPal transaction could not be completed. Please return to checkout and try again.


I searched through the forums and found the debugger code and here is what I am getting:

There doesn't seem to be a request sent. Also, Powerstore is showing an alternate cart but not collecting any information.

It seems like the store isn't sending what is in my cart. Also, why are there two checkout options?

when there is no response back from the gateway, it means that the API information was rejected completely.

The API information is basically used as a login to the gateways server, on failed login, it sends the failure message and nothing else.


make sure that the API Username, API Password and API signature you are entering are correct.


the API Username is not the same as the email address, it will not contain an "@" symbol.

sometimes, paypal will generate bad api credentials, if you still have problems, try requesting new api credentials.

There are 2 stages to the checkout, when the confirm page posts to the paypal server, it is just authorizing the sellers account, at this stage, the cart information is not transferred.

the user will go through payapl and be brought back to your site to the pp_confirm page, at this stage, when the click the submit order button, the cart information will transferred to payapl.

Nothing is working on this end

Jason - I would like to upgrade to the premium technical support. I have got to get this store launched and nothing is working. From what the sales rep told me, if I pay the premium price, I can get a phone call in which the tech would stay with me until it works. This is what I would like to do tomorrow if possible - I would like to set up a call with my developer at 3:30 pm tomorrow. How do I go about doing this?

to begin the process, go to the following page on our site:
support/

there is a video there that will walk you through the entire process.

You will click on the Get technical support link. from the how can We Help you List, select "I am experiencing errors on a web page that the product created" then click the Continue to technical support link. from the product list, select PowerStore. Then click the Still need Help link.

On the next page, Click the schedule button next to Premier support. fill out the form on the next page and Sales Representative will contact you to Schedule the appointment and take your payment details.
