html5 with safari

I have a flash slideshow which isn't showing up in Safari. Do I need html5?

No, you do not need HTML 5.

HTML 5 is still in the development phases, it has not been finalized yet.

Your sideshow displays fine in safari for me, i have tried on two different computers.

perhaps you need to clear your browsers cache.
