Trouble downloading large (15mb) zip files

Trouble downloading large (15mb) zip files

I have setup and tested a shopping cart/checkout/confirm site with a download center per your guides. Using PayPal Pro, I have tested with success both PayPal and credit card payments.

I use Firefox and like I said my testing works fine. BUT .....

Nearly 50% of my online customers are unable to download the files. Some say they get a session time out, other say they it begins to download but doesn't finish.

Any ideas on why some users are having trouble downloading Zip files?

on slower internet connections, the download script may be timing out.

Try increasing the max_execution_time in the php.ini file, or add the following at line 1 of your page:

<?php ini_set('max_execution_time', -1); ?>

this will increase the script execution time to 300 seconds. depending on the users connection speed, this may need to be further increased.
