Session variables in Chekout form/Payment info

Hi Eric,

As you adviced, I recreated the checkout sequence.

Now I see ONE of many problems I had. I think this is where things began screwed.

On checkout.php page under Payment information, I want to change how some form elements are appearing.

In default, is goes;
- First Name
- Last name
- Email address...

I want it to be as;
- Name for invoice
- Your name if different from above
- address for invoice... etc

I could just change the form labels, but it gets very confusing.
So I'd like to change namd and id as well.

I understand that the value entered in each form will go to Session variables
("eCartCheckoutForm_[###]" ), so I guess I need to change the element name ( = [###] after "eCartCheckoutForm_" ) as well so session variables will match to Form elements ids.

To have session variables with my original element, do I just add new session variables under "session" on "binding" panel on checkout.php page?

Is there anyother php files that I should be correcting?
I am using Universal Email to send confirmation email, and I assume some files for this should be edited, such as "WAUE_pp_confirm_1.php" (I see session variables regarding Payment info in this file).

Is there anything else I have to edit?

Rika

Do not change the name of the form elements or the names of the session variables, there are simply to many places that will need to be edited if you do this.

You can change the labels without a problem, but the form element and session variable names should be left as is.

Hmmm, does that mean the only thing I should be changing is LABEL for form elements, yeah?

So;

>Label: "Name for invoice"
Session variables: "eCartCheckoutForm_firstname"
Form name and id: firstname

>Label: "Name if different from above"
Form name and id: lastname
Sesseion variables: "eCartCheckoutForm_lastname"

Is this what you are talking about right?
Ok, I will try that out and see how it goes.

Sorry, I just need to make sure what I understand is correct...

Yes, that is correct.
