Promaps for Google

Help! When I upload files from Dreamweaver to Web, Google Map says I need a new API key for this site, I have a new API key specifically for this site and have put it in but it just keeps telling me that I need a new one.

Also I cannot paste the api key directly into the promaps window, really need techinal support on this urgently - can you help.

I am using a MacBook 10OSX 10.4.11 and Dreamweaver cs4

In the code, the map will add a script that looks similar to this:
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://maps.google.com/maps?file=api&v=2&key=aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa">/*wagmp*/</script>

The "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" is where the api key is stored. Make sure you replace that with the one that was generated for your new domain. If it isn't working, try going back and generating a new api key, it may not have been generated correctly the first time.

And if you could elaborate on the not being able to edit the api key in the interface issue, that would be helpful.

Thanks for that, will give it a try....
to elaborate when the I go to Dreamweaver and go to insert Google Promaps, a window
appears with an api key and just before you go to the next part, which is to put in address,
if I cut the api key from google maps and highlight the api key in the Google Promaps window it does not give me the option to paste.......

You will need to copy and paste the API key with the keyboard shortcuts.

Mac
copy cmd + c
cut cmd + x
paste cmd + v

PC
copy ctrl + c
cut ctrl + x
paste ctrl + v
