can no longer access gallery or admin

had the gallery all set up and working. now none of the gallerys can be accessed. getting a connection error message. looking for /usr/local/apache/htdocs/shetek.org/shetekgallery/Connections/powergallery.php on line 9

I ftp to the site and there seems to be no connections folder ????? either in the website or in the software download.

Do I need to reinstall?? If so what will happen to the galleries that have been created and the photos in them?

Is there a way to just recreate the connections folder and the polwergallery.php file.

An error an line 9 indicates the connection file exists, it just can't connect to the database. Has the database host, username, or password changed at all? I would use your hosts control panel and see if you can locate the connections file that way instead of ftp.

Thanks,

Yes it was the host. was doing some security updates and something in that caused the issue. It has now been fixed

can't access admin area

I successfully created a MySQL database, installed PowerGallery and have it running @

gallery.php

but I can no longer log into the admin area @

index.php

I made the log in and password for power gallery the same as used for accessing the database. So I don't understand why I can't log in. I even went into the database, opened the wa_settings file and copied the log-in and password from there (which I already knew beforehand) And still to no avail.

Do I have to reinstall ????

This may be a bug with an incompatability with another solution or with securityassist files. I have opened a support incident in order to research this problem further.

I would not suggest a reinstall. We will be able to get this running properly with the current files.
