Not uploading big files

I have a page that uploads files fine except the bigger files. How do I take the limit off?

I saw one thing about an php.ini file but I have no idea how to find that file.
I saw another that talked about using Validation tool kit but I got a java kit trying to use the extension. What do I do?

This is the site.

there is a setting which 'may' override the php.ini settings, depending on your hosting provider.

add this line to the top of the upload page...

<?php ini_set("memory_limit","64M"); ?>

Try changing the number to a higher one if you have problems, but whatever the setting, the server may time out if the file you wish to upload is too big.

i recommend setting a 2mb maximum file size, which is plenty for web images

That didn't work. Any other options?
How do I find out more about the php.ini and how to find it? I use network solutions as our Service provider.

We are using our ftp site for people to send us files for print. We need at least 100mb files. We have no size limits on our hosting service.

To get more information on how your server is set up you would have to contact your service provider and ask them how you would modify the max file size that can be uploaded.

That was it. That was the correct information. I will have to upgrade the service to get bigger files uploaded to our site.
Thanks for you help
