transparent flash movie

how do you make the flash movie transparent with site sculpture?
I freated a transparent movie using swishmax3.
Inserted the flash movie but there are no options to make it transparent.
I cannot add the code in the source mode. It will not work - [takes it out of the emb tag.

Thanks for any help on this.

How are you inserting the flash? Are you using the insert flash dialog in the editor or just copying and pasting code into the editor?

I tried just copying and pasting into the code view of the editor using this code and it appeared to work fine:
<EMBED src="animation/transparency.swf" wmode="transparent" quality=low bgcolor=#99CC00 WIDTH="300" HEIGHT="200" NAME="transparency" ALIGN=""
TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash" PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></EMBED>

What does the code to embed your flash look like?

Hi. I was using the insert flash from the CMS program.
My actual code looks like this:
<object
classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,28,0"
id="header"
width="767" height="100"
>
<param name="movie" value="header.swf" />
<param name="bgcolor" value="#339900" />
<param name="quality" value="high" />
<param name="wmode" value="transparent" />
<param name="seamlesstabbing" value="false" />
<param name="allowscriptaccess" value="samedomain" />
<embed
type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
pluginspage="http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash"
name="header"
width="767" height="100"
src="header.swf"
bgcolor="#339900"
quality="high"
wmode="transparent"
seamlesstabbing="false"
allowscriptaccess="samedomain"
>
<noembed>
</noembed>
</embed>
</object>

Where do I save my .swf file on the server if I manually add this code?

If you don't have any path information for the src of the swf, you would want to upload it to the root of your cms site.

I was still unable to reproduce the wmode="transparent" being unable to be added in the code view of the editor. I added the flash object using the flash button and then went into code view and added the property without any issues.

Hi Jimmy:
Thanks, I did what you said and the flash transparency works now. I don't know what I must have done earlier. Thanks again for your help!!:D
