It appears to be working now. I'm not sure I understand, where the files missing (not uploaded) from the server?

the issue is onlu occuring in IE, not in fire fox or safari.

the problem is that there are comments in the code before the doctype tag:

<!-- saved from url=(0014)about:internet --><!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<!-- saved from url=(0014)about:internet -->

this is causing IE to render the page in quirks mode using the IE 5.5 rendering engine.

remove those comments that are around the doctype tag:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
