DA 2.0.5 crashing DW
Hi,
I updated to 2.0.5 but it crashes Dreamweaver when loading the plugin.
I reinstalled 2.0.4 and everything is fine ?
I have tried this a few times ( reinstall ) but it just won't go.
Any ideas ?
Regards
Russell

same problem here. Dataassist 2.0.5 crashed when install in Mac OS X.5.7 with DW CS4.
Revert back to version 2.0.4 temporary solved the problem.
2.0.5 crashes on the Mac with me as well. I have to go back to 2.0.3 since I can't locate 2.0.4 Why can't WebAssist have an archive of previous releases?
I finally got 2.0.5 to work by removing my configuration folder.
I have the same issue on my Vista desktop, but do not have the issue on my Vista laptop. Interestingly, on the desktop I previously had 2.0.4 installed and then installed the updated version. On the latop, where data assist is working properly, 2.0.5 is the only version that was ever on the machine.
I'll have to try removing the configuration folder as suggested above.
may i know where is the location of the configuration folder on the mac?
Hi,
you should find it in
user/Library/Application Support/Adobe/dreamweaver/en_US/Configuration
If you relabel the folder to Configuration-1 you will have a copy is something goes pairshaped.
DW will create another config folder when it launches

just remove the macfilecache .dat file from the configuration folder while DW is shut down. No need to remove the whole config folder in most cases.
FYI. tried only removing the macfilecache.dat file. It was only until I removed the cache folder did DataAssist 2.0.5 start working.
