Unexpected character in input error

On the submission on the confirm page I'm getting the following message:

It is the extra slashes in the code that are causing this problem. What are the steps that you have taken to implement this message. It looks like there might be a template that was used to start this with. Did this only happen after going back and editing the instance? Please post back with all of the details so that we can help you get past this issue.
