What happened to...

What is the story with Flashnav Menus and Photo Assist? They seem to have disappeared, one with the advent of CS5 and one did not work in XP. I paid good money for them and was never able to use them.

I have never even heard of those! I have been using WA stuff for several years now, too. How long ago was that and what did they do? Maybe some of the current extensions include the functionality of those.

FlashNav Menus was an extension we resold that was actually built by another company. We had lots of issues with it and stopped selling it once we came out with CSS Menu Writer.

Photo Assist is from years ago. It allowed you to create a static photo gallery. The powerGallery is a much better solution. We stopped selling photoassit because of the antiquated technology and inclusion of other static photo gallery solutions with DW.

Gotcha... yeah when I saw FlashNav, I instantly thought of some of those other flash menu extensions that do seem to have a ton of problems implementing them. Not to mention, I make it standard practice to avoid any flash for main elements of my sites to ensure compatibilty with iPad and iPhone.
