What's being updated then?

What's being updated then?

I have CS5 and I am in the process of installing all of the updated CS5 compatible extensions, however, I have just installed an extension that isn't updated or compatible with CS5 and yet it has installed fine, activated fine, but I am yet to try it out though.

So, in laymans terms, what's being updated within the extensions? Are those extensions not yet updated likely to work in CS5 still?

I'm asking this 'cos I need form builder and uni email, which are definitely part of the to-be-updated list, so I haven't installed them yet just incase something catastrophic happens to DWCS5.

I can't use CS4 anymore as I am an Adobe influencer and Adobe have shut down my version of CS4 :o( I guess that's to encourage take up of CS5. It's left me out in the cold a bit as Vendors like WA, Extensis, Nik etc are still updating their software to be CS5 compatible... tch, I digress!

Nothing catestrophic will happen, in the worst case it may make some of the other extensions that did work on cs5 stop working because of overwriting shared files that were updated to work with cs5.

Having said that some basic functionality will likely work, just in some cases you can get things that may not work properly or even errors are possible. In the worst case you could still uninstall and reinstall the CS5 versions and they should begin to work again. We are just making small tweaks to account for any changes and testing all interfaces to make sure we haven't missed anything. Our entire extension suite will be fully functional and tested on CS5 in the next couple of weeks.

I'd suggest to stick to the CS5 approved list for now.
