Encryption without using data assist

Ive watched the video tutorials, but then he mentions using dataassist as well to do some parts, I didnt buy data assist, is there a code example of what hes done in the video?

Also, why wouldnt encrypting passwords be the default method?

It is not possible to add encryption using the Dreamweaver Insert and Update record behaviors. The Dreamweaver Insert and update record behaviors are to limited in their functionality to be able to accomplish password encryption.

Password encryption was not added as the default because we did not want to force people to buy Data Assist to be able to use Security Assist, however, if you wish to add password encryption, you will need to have Data Assist.

surely you must be joking, all i need is the code that data assist inserts, if thats not possible I would like a refund, you advertise Password encryption as one of the features on your home page and data assist is not one of the system requirements listed.

it is not as simple as giving you the code that data assist inserts, it is an insert recoprd behavior that is created depending on a number variables such as connection file, form element names and database column names.
