Validation of DW template

If I'm correct, it seems as if you cannot validate a template file. Wouldn't it make sense if you could since many of the changes will need to be made there.

Am I missing something? Please advise. Thanks much.

Hi Perry,

I don't see why you can't validate a dwt file; what happens when - in code view - you press the 'Validate Markup' icon then 'Validate current page'?

validation toolkit is used to validate form form input for correct format when the form is submitted, not for validating markup on a page.

to validate markup on a page, neilo is correct, you should use the Dreamweaver validation tool to validate the page markup. go to File -> Validate -> Markup
