Wizard keeps crashing

I am having some difficulty with the Data Assist Wizard locking up Dreamweaver. I have tried both CS4 and CS5 with it and it seems that when the wizard connects to my site at the end, it freezes. Dreamweaver then must be restarted. I notice that all the pages are created from the wizard and they seem to work when I upload them. The only page which is not, and must be the source of the crash in the wizard, is the item_Delete.php page. Sometimes it also freezes after completing step 1 if I don't hit the connect button before starting the wizard. Anyone else having trouble with the wizard crashing and not providing an error?

I just noticed hat the 2 files that are not being created are the update and delete pages. I also found that the wizard gets hung up on a window that is frozen behind Dreamwever which says "updating database schema..."

two answers com to my mind:
* The database connecting schema shows that the connection to (mysql?) database is slow, overloaded with traffic or the database server is on its limit, sometimes because of a non-escapable loop...
* The freezes could also come from the preview error if using templates. Try to disable preview in Edit -> WebAssist Preferences

hope this helps

I think I figured it out. My database is hosted with GoDaddy. I noticed that direct access to the database was not enabled. I must have missed that when I set it up. As a result, I have to export what I have, create a new database with direct access enabled, and then re-import the database. I realized this when I found a table in the database called information_schema and it had a user permission entry. GoDaddy said that this permission could not be enabled after the fact, unfortunately. Additionally, the structure of the table information_schema is totally alien with no comments, so there's no way to know how to edit it. I hope this helps anyone else who might read this: make sure you enable direct access when creating the database to begin with!
