ribbon width - (ribbon lightbox)

i have seen a few posts regarding changing the ribbon width.

i would like to use several ribbons on my site, the width dependent on the page in which they are placed

is it possible to set the perPage value when calling the js, so as to override the default value, or do i need to duplicate the js file whenever i want different widths ?

is changing the js file the best way of changing the ribbon width ?

You will need to adjust the js to change the width and accommodate the images. The galleries were designed to get these settings directly from the file, there is no supported mechanism to get the values dynamically. You could alter the js file to make it dynamic but it would be a custom integration. The currently recommended way to made these changes is to start by copying the gallery first then updating the js.
