Map is showing without bg images and bad render

Hi there!

I have a page with several recordsets filtering from the URL.

Two of the recordsets I have dedicated to the Google Map. One is showing the current entry and one showing similar entries from the same category.

The map is not showing the bg images and the points look funny. Take a look: detail.php?sub=33&entry=260

Any ideas...

It looks as though you have made some modifications to the map on the page. Were you able to get the map to display properly on the page before making any edits to it? Have you tested all of these locations individually to ensure that they are valid?

If you have a working map and would like to customize the images used for the markers that should not be a problem, you just need to ensure that you are starting with a working map. Please post back with this info and any other details you can come up with so we can help you out.

Working Map

I had a working map and I first used edit to add a second recordset. It all started then.

I then deleted all folders and map code from my page and redid with a new clean map, including both recordsets but... no luck.

I tried to include the actual page but there is a 20kb limit.

I would like to look into this further with you but I will need a copy of your files to do so. You can post a zip archive of the pages that I will need. I would like a copy of the page with the map on it as well as the google_javascript folder and a copy of the db or the specific table you are getting the info from. I will check on these on my end to see if I can spot the problem.

Normally if you have a map that does not render correctly it is due to bad locations or some conflicting code on the page. When I visited the page just now it looked to be rendering ok so if you have got it worked out already just let us know.

Works with only one recordset

The problem was when I tried to place two recordsets to the map.
Now it renders ok because I removed them and I have only one.

I will place the second recordset and do the zip for you as I need to show two recordsets to the map.

Ok, post back wth the files and info in a zip archive along with a description of how you would like it working and we can take a look at it for you.
