SecurityAssist Not Sending Unencrypted Random Password

I purchased the user registration solution pack and have fully integrated it into my website. I would like to modify the users_EmailPW.php file to send a random password. I noticed that URSP already created a "Random Password" variable; however, it does not appear to be sending a random password when using the URSP forgot password page.

I reviewed your securityassist solution recipe in adding the random password feature, including using dataassist's "update single record" to create the means of updating my DB's password field.

When I uploaded all the necessary files, I tested the page and got back a long, encrypted password which I am assuming is what my DB currently has on file. Of course, this is not what I would like my users to see.

I am need of direction on how to correct my error and get myself back on the path of having a new, random password being emailed to the user while updating and encrypting the password in the DB.

On the Email Password page, double click the email password server behavior.

Go to the third tab where you can configure the email message.

Remove the reference to the Password column from the database (This is the long encrypted value).

Then click the plus button and select the NewPW session value.

What about the universal email variable? The EmailPW.php file originally came with this variable already configured. Am I to delete this and use securityassist's email password to replace the current universal email variable?

Also, I noticed that the update record server behavior displayed a red exclamation point after I inserted the securityassist email password server behavior. I am uncertain as to where the error is occurring. Could the reason be that the file is from the URSP and has specific configurations already in place?

Furthermore, I noticed that the "show if" region, confirmining that an email was sent was no longer displaying when the send button was pressed (this was after I made the changed outlined in your securityassist "Send Password" solution recipe).

Any thoughts?

I;m sorry, I missed that this was for the User Registration solution pack.

To get the user registration solution pack to email the unencrypted password, you wont use the security Assist email password behavior, you will just need to modify the WA_UniveresalEmail/Email_Templates/Lostpassword.php page.

Change:

php:
<?php echo($row_LostPW['UserPassword']); ?>

to:

php:
<?php echo($_SESSION['NewPW']); ?>
