Update form is adding extra """" to links

Update form is adding extra """" to links

The first time a user updates a record with the update form using HTML Editor, all good. The second time a user enters the update form and doesn't make a change within the editor—perhaps another field, or a change in the editor unrelated to the link, the link adds " to either side of the link. The more times the updater form is used, the more " are added, ie,

"""""http://domain.com"""""

What is causing this and how can I repair it.

Thanks!

"known issue"

have the same problem.
What you do is, edit HTML Editor on the update page and click on the lighning symbol next to the text area field called "initial Value" and select the appropriate field from the recordset. This will remove the wrong ""s.
So that the code line looks something like:
$WARichTextEditor_1 = CreateRichTextEditor ("yourtextarea", "HTMLEditor/", "640px", "480px", "Default", "../custom/your_Updatefile_yourtextarea.js", "".$row_WADAyourtable['yourtextarea'] ."");

But that step has to be done anyway in order for it to do the update. So what extra step are you suggesting?

I see now... each time an edit is done to the updater page it has to be reset to initial value. thanks!
