Credit Card Transaction fails

This has been tried with multiple orders different cards and still the same result. Go Daddy installed an SSL certificate and their saying to me now that their is an error in coding. I personally just think their trying to throw the blame on the designer but that does the store no good as we can't process any orders. Can you please tell me why we would be getting this error. The site is using Authorize.net as the merchant, Go Daddy as host with SSL. Powerstore 3. Thanks again.

double check the item names and descriptions that are being added to the cart and make sure there are no special characters. only letters and numbers are accepted by Authorize.net for the item information being passed.

there are just sku numbers like 0387654
and descriptions are like: Mossy Oak Olive Hat

If this is the case, why is it still failing?

I am assuming you meant characters like $ or * correct?

If so, there are none in the descriptions like this, so I can't understand why I am getting a fail. Actually now it's telling me the store is shut down for maintenance. Really confusing. Please help we are loosing money not having the store operational. Thank you.

the problem is the <p> tags in the description:

authorize.net will only except letters and numbers in the line item information, any other characters will cause the line item 1 is invalid error. in your case the issue is caused by the "<", ">" and "/" characters
