Is the profile page missing the update email?

Is the profile page missing the update email?

I notice the profile page does not have a means of updating one's email address. Is it omitted on purpose? I think it needs to be added, can you help - it's a little bit complicated by the fact that one needs to check that the email is not already registered.
Thanks for your help.

You would then need to run a sql update statement to update the email. I wouldn't recommend trying to implement this change if you aren't familiar with working on database manipulation.
