An error occurred while generating your PDF

What does one do to even start to try to resolve the underlying issue reflected in this generic error message?

Was the site local or live? Do you have a URL for it? The error is probably being returned because something on the page will not allow it to be made into a PDF or there is some other error occurring within the portion of the script that is generating the PDF. If you have a link that we can test this with we can try to do the same as you are so we can determine what the problem may be.

It happened on 2 different sites (but under the same agency). Here and here:
scp/
lynx/

I was able to use SiteScribe on these URLs and generate a PDF as the output without any errors occurring. There might be something going wrong with the installed extension or java that it is working with. Do you have an up to date version of java installed? If not you should ensure this before trying again. If you do have an up to date version of java installed then you will need to check on a couple of things with the extension.

The first thing you should try is deleting the cache file, here is a link to a page with these steps:

common_installation_issues.pdf

If this does not resolve the problem then there could be a corruption of your configuration folder. If this is the case you will need to follow the directions in this post to rename the folder. This will uninstall all of your extensions.

Please post back and let us know if you continue to have this issue and I will ensure that a ticket is opened for you.
