cropped slideshow image

sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't find any reference to it.

With the default WA images, i have set up a gallery utilising all of the themes

newphotolayout.php

the guy on the bike (portrait image), the third image i think, is always cropped in both of the slideshow themes, is there any way in showing all of this image, so it appears as in the non slideshow themes ?

On line 14 of the index.php for a gallery, you can change the size of the image it uses. Using slideshow_dissolve for example, you'll see 782c in the url. Change that 782p to use the proportional image (c = cropped, p = proportional).

The slideshow_wide is so wide it is not really designed to work with a proportional image, there would be tons of extra space on that one. I would recommend pre-cropping your images for that particular gallery if the auto cropping is not looking how intended.

thanks for the reply Justin.

I tweaked slideshow dissolve, and this works fine.

Slideshow blinds seems to work differently, as though the image has an x axis repeat.
This gives an extra bit on the landscape images, and the portrait images are shown twice.

i have updated the files, so please use the link posted above to see what i mean.

I have deleted the wide slideshow from my examples in this case, so this isn't an issue, but thanks for the tip.

You are correct, the blinds slideshow can't be adjusted either. That effect works in such a way that the image needs to be cropped and fill up the entire space for the gallery.

OK, i'll bear that in mind.

Thanks
