Add to basket and DataAssist sort problem

Good morning,
I have a problem with my Add to basket button: on the same page I am filtering and sorting records using DataAssist search and sort.
While I can search with no problems (thanks to a previous suggestion when you told me to change a server behaviors), if I sort records the add to cart button stop working (instead of adding items to cart it sort them, as if I click on the sort links...).
I add an attachment with the file I am talking about.
Many thanks in advance for your help.

Guido

Looking at the file I can see why it would activate the sort server behavior but it should be adding the item to the cart if you click on the add to cart button and the record can be found in the rs_Vini recordset.

As a test of the add to cart functionality add this line of code just after line 316:

php:
die("the posted item id is: " . $_POST["eCart_ITA_1_ID_Add"];);

This should let you know if the add to cart is being triggered when your press the button. If it is not then you will not see this message. Please post back and let us know the result.

I have some news on this problem.
First of all I added the code you suggested and yes, the trigger is always activated.
I have then find 2 different behaviors using Internet Explorer (8) or using Firefox (3.6).
Now, if you want you can test the site at this address:

shop.php

If you click on the english flag on the top right corner you can see it in english.
In I.E. if you sort wines (for example clicking on "region") and then try to add the first record to the basket, it doesn't work.
But if you then click on "my basket" (it will tell you that the basket is empty) and then click on the back button of your browser, you will find the article in the basket.

With Firefox the add to basket button works fine, but the "toggle sort in subsequent visits" doesn't work....

Any idea? Do I have to attach some files here?
Thanks, Guido.

I have done some testing with this and I can see the results do not toggle in FireFox and Chrome. In IE I noticed that if I sorted the columns I was able to add items to the cart but not before I did this.

I have opened a ticket for you on this issue. To update the ticket login and visit your support history.

I have done a lot of testing on this situation to try and determine what the issue might be. It turns out that if I remove a single line from the on page style area the page seems to work correctly. I removed this line from the css around line 426:

background-image: url();

After I made this update the page seems to be working correctly when you sort on a column. I have never encountered this before and I'm not sure why this causes a problem. I even ran through a css validation for the page and this line of code was not caught as a problem.
